Mr. Yasir Ashfaq is working as Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC). He was previously working as Chief Operating Officer of PMIC since August 2016. Before joining PMIC, he has worked with Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund as Group Head, Financial Services Group in a similar role. Yasir has over 20 years of experience in financial sector of the country and has worked at senior management positions in commercial and investment banks. His areas of expertise include designing policy and strategy, corporate finance, portfolio management, treasury, finance and accounts, development finance, corporate finance, risk management, development of institutions and new financial products and approaches of delivery. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants (ICMA) of Pakistan and holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from University of Sydney, Australia.

Mr. Saqib Siddiqui has more than twenty years of experience of working in the microfinance sector of Pakistan. He has held various senior management positions with responsibilities related to growth programming, building institutional capacity as well as promoting inclusive and responsible financial services. He joined Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC) as Head of Sector Development in December 2016. As Head of Sector Development at PMIC, Mr. Siddiqui is responsible for development of innovative and inclusive product lines, relationship management with stakeholders, donors, financiers as well as priming for microfinance plus and strategic positioning of the organization both at national and international platforms. Before joining PMIC, he was working as General Manager- Sector Development at Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF).
Mr. Saqib Siddiqui is a graduate of the Global Institute of Management Science, Lahore and also holds Masters degrees in Business Administration with specialization in Finance and Marketing.

Mr. Asghar Memon is working as Head of Portfolio Management since December 2016. Prior to joining PMIC, he was working at the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) as General Manager Microfinance Portfolio Management Department. Mr. Asghar has over 22 years of experience including 17 years in financial sector. He has held various senior management positions at different microfinance institutions and Apex institute. His areas of expertise include portfolio management, growth programing while striking balance between return and risk, developing strategic plans, budgeting, process and product innovation, monitoring and supervision, working with mid and small tier microfinance institutions to improve governance and control environments and creating value chains for impact financing as well as improving social performance.
Mr. Memon is an engineering graduate of the Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam and also holds Masters degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance and Masters in Sociology.

Safwat Khalid is a Senior Finance Executive and Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. Safwat has over 20 years of extensive experience in Banking and Financial Institution sector and exposure in Financial and Management Reporting, Strategy, Analysis, Project Management, Treasury Finance and Taxation.
In his last role as Division Head Finance & Accounts, he was spearheading major functions of Finance & Accounts Department in Samba Financial Group (Saudi Arabia) and supported organization as Lead in implementation of IFRS 9 and VAT. Prior to this engagement he was associated with Samba Bank Limited (Pakistan), Tameer Micro Finance Bank Limited, ORIX Leasing Pakistan.

Syeda Ambreen Zehra Taqvi
Ms. Ambreen is a seasoned HR professional who brings with her 13 years of diverse experience in the field of Human Resources Management, Recruiting, Organizational Development, HR Business Partnership and Outsourced Services. In her last role she was associated with PTCL as Senior Manager Talent Acquisition and Outsourced Services where she was responsible for integrating the employer branding and talent acquisition Strategy with the overall business strategy of the company. She joined Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company in March 2018 as Head of Human Resources.
Prior to her tenure at PTCL, Ambreen remained Associated with Mobilink (now Jazz) for over 7 years where she was part of the HR Organizational Development, Recruitment Rewards & Performance and HR Business Partnership teams. In her last role at Mobilink she was the Lead HR Business Partner for Technology. Ambreen has also worked as Assistant Director Career Planning at National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for over two years, before joining Mobilink. Mr. Rashid started his career in 2004 with Network Microfinance Bank Limited (Now Apna Microfinance Bank) and then moved to Tameer Bank (Now Telenor Microfinance Bank) in 2005. He joined Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC) in 2017 and moved back to Telenor Microfinance Bank in 2019. Rashid’s career spans over 16 years in the Microfinance Industry. His last assignment, before joining PMIC was with Telenor Bank Ltd where he served as Head of Credit Operations. Rashid holds a Bachelors and Masters (commerce) degree from Karachi University Rashid is a seasoned Risk Professional who has diverse experience in the application of Risk Management Practices and Financial Controls.

Her last role was as Head Operational Risk in HBL Microfinance Bank.

During the role in Internal Audit, she was engaged in various assignments including process audits, management audits, retail banking audits, end to end reviews, digital audits, fraud & forgery assignments along-with planning and reporting related assignments.

Zeeshan Khan Shahid
Zeeshan holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from University of Peshawar. His career spans over 20 years with experience in Information Technology, Operations & General IT Management He has worked in Healthcare industry for over 11 years and has served in United Nation Development Program (UNDP) in Electoral Cycle Support to the Election Commission of Pakistan. Mr. Shuja has BSc (Hons) degree from LUMS and Executive MBA degree from NUST Business School. Currently, he is pursuing Global Masters in Finance at IE Business School, Spain. Shuja’s career spans over 12 years, his last assignment was at Pak China Investment Co Ltd as Div Head, China Advisory and Research at Investment Banking Group, where core responsibilities included advising Local and Chinese Clients for Joint Ventures in Pakistan, Equity Investments, Project Finance & Debt Syndications, Advising Govt of Pakistan for Privatization of State Owned Entities and actively participating in Capital Markets. Mr. Ali Said has a Masters degree in Commerce (Major in Finance) from University of Peshawar and is Diplomate Associate of the Institute of Bankers Pakistan Ali Said started his career with the Bank of Khyber in January 2000. He has over 19 years of experience in Microfinance, Treasury Operations, Money & Capital Markets, Accounts & Finance and Risk Management. In his current role, Ali Said is responsible for Managing Credit Portfolio of Non-Banking Microfinance Companies and Microfinance Banks, nderwriting and Business Development and strengthening relationships with clients and implementation of business strategies to meet lending goals and objectives of PMIC. .
Ms. Sara is an associate of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan and fellow member of ACCA with over 8 years of experience in external audit, business planning and financial control.
Before joining PMIC she was working as Executive Manager Business Planning with Telenor Bank Islamabad. Previously she also worked for Islamabad Serena Hotel as Head of Income Audit. She has done her articleship from KPMG Islamabad Office.

Aliya Fatima Zaidi
Ms. Ailya has completed ACCA and started her career with KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. in January 2008 as an Audit Trainee. Her last assignment before joining PMIC was with Samba Bank Limited as Manager – Operational Risk. Nizwa has over 9 years of work experience in wholesale lending of microfinance. Before joining PMIC, she was working with Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) as Senior Management Executive.
Nizwa has done Master’s in Business Administration (Finance) from International Islamic University Islamabad and obtained different certificates related to microfinance such as Boulder MFT and Advance Programme on Financial Inclusion and Social Performance. Aqeel Ahmed Khan
Mr. Aqeel holds a Certificate in Accounting and Finance (CAF) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and he is PIPFA qualified. He also holds a degree in Commerce (B. Mr. Muhammad Faheem Khalid has an MBA degree from FAST School of Management – Islamabad. He is currently working as Manager Sector Development in PMIC. Faheem is involved in designing and deployment of microfinance plus projects and data management. Mr. Ahmed Saleh Jamal is a Procurement & Supply Chain management professional, combining cross-functional competencies in procurement, vendor management, quality, and supply chain management. Muhammed Amir Bajwa
Amir has done his BSc in Geophysics from Imperial College London. He has experience in programming and data analysis. His thesis involved developing his own predictive model on where seismic events may occur. Amir has experience in ETL processes and has carried out a variety of different field surveys. Syed Hammad Ghaznavi
Hammad holds a MBA degree from Bahria University Islamabad. He joined Lafarge Pakistan Cement Limited in March 2015 and after completing 1 years he had joined Bestway Cement Limited in 2016. His career spans over 6 years with most of it spent in the Finance Treasury sector. His last assignment, before joining PMIC, he was with Bestway Cement Limited where he served as Treasury Officer.

Minahil has experience in reporting and data analysis using SAP and Oracle BI. She also has good understanding of IFRSs, Accounts preparation, OSM and performance management.
Zoobia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Finance from National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST Business School). During the course of her degree, she completed two internships at renowned Financial institutions. She served as a Finance intern at Askari Bank for a period of two months in 2018 followed by a 6-week Internship at IGI General insurance. Prior to joining this position, She joined PMIC in August 2021 as a Management Trainee Officer in PMD.
